Force3 would like the following feature:
Prior to the Covid-19 crisis, I performed a little bit of software development, I created an on-screen Soft button to mute the microphone of Cisco DX80s, because the customer had complained about the button being on the side of the DX80. In that period, I was also testing Akkadian Contact Manager, and I am absolutely impressed with the Web Directory and being able to dial from a computer. I believe I briefly discussed the idea with you of using the Web Directory on a Webex Board/room-kit with the built-in Web Engine, and using the web directory to search and dial from the endpoint, but I did not discuss the test results. I was able to successfully search and display the Web Directory on the Webex Boards, but I was unable to dial as the Webex Boards did not use SIP when I clicked the links, it instead tried to use email, which of course failed. I already have a feature request in with Cisco to enable SIP dialing via the Web Engine, but I was wondering if there was something that you could do on your end to enable dialing from an Webex board via the web directory, maybe an action button or something. Basically the user would click the web directory number or URI and then Akkadian would have to send a command to CUCM or the end-point to dial. If it was CUCM, it would be through CTI or something. If it was the Webex board it would have to be the xAPI (XML API which is JavaScript or NodeJS), or it could also be through a http post request or something. The Mute Button I created was some nodeJS code with the xAPI put directly on the endpoint and the UI editor, I added the mic mute button on screen, yes I know that is a little different, but it provides a little background. I also wrote a program in NodeJS to get the people count from the Room Kit Plus, Room Kit Pro, and the webex boards. That NodeJS program runs on a separate server and talks to the Endpoints remotely over websockets or http get requests. I would have to go look and see what version of the program and method I used in my last run of it, as that was all done pre-Covid-19.
Do you think there might be something that can be done on the Akkadian Contact Manager Side to enable the Web Directory Dialing from the WebEx Boards? If Cisco would enhance the web engine and allow SIP dialing, then this would not require any additional configuration, but I don’t know if or when they will fulfill that request.
Here are a couple of links to the Feature Request with Cisco:

The Feature Request with Cisco basically stated:
We are implementing a Directory Solution for a very large On-Prem Customer and we are testing two different solutions. They provide multiple methods of directory including UDS and Web-based directory. We had an idea to provide enhanced Directory for the WebEx Boards to utilize a Web-App using the Web-Directory, with the Click to Dial (touch to dial), similar to Jabber and Teams from a computer, but much to our dismay, we discovered that while the Web-Directory will display on the WebEx Board, it does not work for Click to Dial. Can you please add this functionality to allow click to dial from Web Apps? See the attached photos for the WebApps shown on the Webex Board. Note, please excuse the Whited-out areas on the board, this Setup is in an off-network lab environment with dial-in capability, and we do not want to receive calls from outside sources without coordination.
Attached is a picture showing what I was talking about.
